City of San Fernando, Pampanga – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), through the Professional Regulatory Board of Psychology (PRB Psy), has granted the Permit to Operate to Argao Psych on 16 January 2024. This means that Argao Psych has complied with the requirements set forth by the PRB Psy resolution No.04 s.2023 entitled “Rules and Regulations to Implement Section 33(b) of RA 10029, entitled ‘Philippine Psychology Act of 2009’ on the issuance of Permit to Operate a Psychology or Psychometrics Office, Center, Clinic, or Facility.”
According to Section 3(b) of Article VIII of RA 10029: “no corporation, partnership, association or entity shall operate a psychology or psychometrics office, center, clinic or otherwise engage in the practice or allow the practice of Psychology or Psychometrics within its premises without securing a permit therefor from the Board. Such permit shall be issued only after the Board is satisfied that such establishment is competently staffed by a Psychologist and equipped with sufficient and adequate psychology-related instruments and facilities].” On 22 June 2023, the PRB Psychology issued Resolution No. 4 s.2023 to implement the law.
