1 March 2016 marked the founding of Argao Psych - then Argao Center for Psychological Services - as a professional development and training initiative for mental health professionals.
At the time, our focus was clear: strengthen the foundations of mental health care by equipping practitioners with ethical, evidence-based, and practical skills. We believed then—and continue to believe now—that quality care begins with competent, accountable professionals.

In 2019, Argao Psych became one of the early pioneers of self-paced online Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in the Philippines.
In partnership with SmarterOne Philippines, we launched the Basic Training on Mental Health and Psychological First Aid, which became:
One of the first PRC-accredited self-paced CPD programs for Psycholog. Attended by over 500 enrollees in its first run. And, successfully delivered across three additional cycles
This milestone expanded access to quality training while maintaining strict adherence to professional and ethical standards.

In 2020, just a month before the COVID-19 lockdowns, we opened our first physical clinic—a modest two-door space focused on individual psychological services.
Our team consisted of only three professionals, and we began serving our first corporate client through an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The timing underscored the urgency of mental health care and reinforced the importance of confidentiality, professionalism, and safe clinical practice.
We took a step forward guided by purpose rather than certainty.

As the demand for mental health care grew, so did our responsibility. On 7 June 2021, Argao Psych was formally incorporated as Argao Health Inc., strengthening governance, accountability, and long-term sustainability.

We moved into our own building to better support our clients and team. What began with two rooms expanded into multiple therapy spaces, including play therapy and assessment rooms, alongside offices, a training room, and a welcoming reception area. Our work extended beyond the clinic as we partnered with local government units, government agencies, schools, and companies.

Recognizing the importance of continuous learning in mental health care, Argao Psych further expanded its Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs. Through strategic partnerships, we increased our reach and contributed to strengthening professional competence and ethical practice across sectors.

On 15 October 2022, we launched Kayap, initially as a World Mental Health Day initiative.
What began as a single advocacy event grew into our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, focused on mental health awareness, psychosocial support, and community resilience—extending care beyond clinic walls.

Our commitment to social responsibility deepened through a partnership with ABS-CBN Foundation Bantay Bata 163, where we supported training programs focused on care, protection, and well-being—extending mental health advocacy beyond traditional clinical spaces.

2024 marked a year of significant growth and strengthening of systems:
Conducted CPD programs across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao
Received our Permit to Operate and Certificate of Compliance from the Professional Regulatory Board of Psychology
Launched the Argao Psych App, supporting continuity of care while upholding data privacy and ethical safeguards
