Argao Psych Brings Peer Support Training and “The Care Mission” to UST Guidance and Counseling Week 2026

City of Manila, National Capital Region | 23 October 2026 — Argao Psych participated in the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Guidance and Counseling Week 2026 through two activities that brought mental health awareness, peer support, and opportunities for connection to students. Held on 21 and 23 October 2026, the activities supported the celebration’s theme, “Find Strength in Your Story.”

Building Strength Through Peer Support

On 21 October 2026, Marc Angelo Ronquillo, MA, RPm, RPsy, Deputy Chief Psychologist of Argao Psych, facilitated a Peer Support Training titled “Storytellers of Strength: Peer Facilitators’ Journey to Resilience” at the UST Junior High School Auditorium.

Participated in by UST Peer Facilitators, the training centered on resilience and peer support, connecting the week’s theme with students’ roles as sources of encouragement for one another. It provided an occasion to reflect on how personal stories and shared experiences can contribute to a more supportive school community.

Peer support gives students opportunities to build connections through listening, understanding, and care. The training placed these relationships at the heart of the celebration, recognizing the contribution of peer facilitators to student wellbeing.

Making Care Interactive at the First Thomasian Wellness Fest

On 23 October 2026, Argao Psych joined the first-ever Thomasian Wellness Fest as one of its exhibitors at the UST Practice Court.

At the Argao Psych booth, students took part in “The Care Mission,” a four-stage game that offered a playful way to engage with mental health and wellbeing. The mission featured four levels:

  • Level 1: Mood Vote

  • Level 2: Arcade of Empowerment

  • Level 3: Roll the Care Wheel

  • Level 4: Equip Yourself

  •

The booth combined interactive activities with opportunities to connect with the Argao Psych team. Students were also treated to snacks and Argao Psych merchandise, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Through “The Care Mission,” Argao Psych brought the conversation about mental health into an approachable, participatory space within the campus celebration.

Supporting Stories, Strength, and Wellbeing
Argao Psych’s participation brought together two complementary ways of engaging students: strengthening peer support and creating accessible opportunities to participate in wellness activities.

The theme “Find Strength in Your Story” served as a reminder that each student brings experiences worth acknowledging—and that connection and support can be part of the story they continue to write.

Argao Psych thanks the UST organizers, peer facilitators, and students for the opportunity to be part of Guidance and Counseling Week 2026 and the inaugural Thomasian Wellness Fest. These shared efforts reflect the value of working together to build communities where mental health conversations are welcomed and care is part of everyday life.
