Clinical Psychology Graduate Student Internship Program

My internship at Argao Psych reignited my desire to be a clinical psychologist. It allowed me to serve actual clients seeking mental health care under the clinic's guidance and support. Aside from the experiences and lessons they taught me that I didn't learn from textbooks and class reports, I made friends with the people I worked with during the internship program. Everyone was welcoming and supportive, and they motivated me whenever I struggled with the clinical tasks and self-doubt.

As a Legal Management graduate, Argao Psych provided me with a challenging environment where I learned the ropes of how the clinical setting in the field of psychology functions. The internship program of Argao Psych provided me with the opportunity to have a deeper understanding of what I've learned in graduate school. It became not only an avenue to explore the application of theories and techniques but also for self-exploration. It helped me gain the skills and competence as well as the confidence needed in this profession. In addition, the Argao Psych team was very welcoming. Their work culture is very client-centered, and it is the embodiment of their motto, "The mental health care you deserve." What I liked most about them is that they will hold you accountable for your actions. Overall, I consider my experience during my internship at Argao Psych as a solid foundation in pursuing my career as a future Psychologist.

As an aspiring mental health professional, I believe that my internship provided me with new knowledge and new perspectives when it comes to the clinical field. My internship with Argao Psych provided me an avenue to encounter different cases and clients outside the classroom and has equipped me with both the technical and soft skills needed to be developed as a clinician.
