18-Month Post-Licensure Specialization (Residency) Training Program
Composed of lectures, workshops, co-practice, and supervised independent practice.
The Program will run for 18 months, starting in June 2025 and ending in December 2026.
The program will be mostly onsite and based in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
The program aims to provide early-career psychologists with a specialization training in Clinical Psychology. Specifically, the apprenticeship program aims to equip aspiring clinical psychologists with the knowledge, skills, competencies, and attitudes for clinical practice in psychology.

This program focuses on:
- Diagnosis and Assessment of Mental Disorders
- Individual Psychotherapy and Intervention
- Case Formulation and Case Reports
- Group Interventions
- Mental Health and Psychosocial Support
- Case Management
Accepted Apprentices will be involved in:
- Didactics (Lectures, Workshops)
- Co-Practice (500 hours)
- Supervised Independent Practice (800 hours)
- Group Interventions
- Training Facilitation
- Case Conference
Applicants must possess the following:
- License as a Psychologist or Qualified for licensure for the 2025/2026 Board Examinations
- Master's Degree in Psychology (Preferably with specialization in clinical psycholocgy)
- Must be willing to attend onsite training in the City of San Fernando Pampanga
- Must be willing to commit at least 16 hours of onsite duty per week
- Must be willing to commit to the duration of the 18-month program
The 18-month program has a training investment of ₱ 50,000 and is payable in up to five installments. Credit card payment is also accepted.
We are offering a training scholarship for one highly qualified applicant for the program. As an additional requirement, the applicant for scholarship must be willing to render 40-hour per week of duty. The scholarship covers the fee for the training investment and monthly stipend.
Dr. Renz Argao is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Argao Health Inc. He is a Registered Psychologist and Psychometrician, a Certified Specialist in Clinical Psychology by the Psychological Association of the Philippines, a Diplomate of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, and an internationally certified expert in psychotrauma. He is also currently a Member of the World Health Organization Strategic and Technical Advisory Group on Infectious Hazards with Pandemic and Epidemic Potential.
His work as clinical psychologist includes 15 years of experience in clinic administration, case management, psychological assessment, psychotherapy, and mental health and psychosocial support services. He has also led and managed a portfolio of projects and programs on psychosocial rehabilitation of communities affected by the armed conflicts in the Central Mindanao region and communities affected by typhoons and natural disasters. His project portfolio also includes capacity-building programs and psychosocial support services for community volunteers, youth, military, local government units, civil society, and religious leaders. He has worked with various companies, schools, and institutions in the delivery of psychological services to employees and students, development of mental health policies in the workplace, and conduct of mental health programs for various organizations. Dr. Argao has also published journal articles on student mental health.
